A moment to reflect..
Yesterday was memorial day. Like last year I went someplace in Secondlife to reflect.

Through..of all places..a fashion feed, I learned that someone had extremely faithfully recreated The Vietnam wall in secondlife. Really, the details just blew me away. They have a page about its creation. http://www.thewallsl.com/

It's so faithful some of the textures are taken from photos of the Wall. And they have a way to track down individual names and leave an item at it. A simple rezzer its not open build. But it works quite well.

I was in awe, and humbled.

This..This is one of the many reasons I love Secondlife.

yes..they did the statues as well..

This is what you click on to get the names. It looks EXACTLY like the podiums they have with the name directories at the Wall.

How wonderful. I have never been to the Wall in real life; I will have to take time to visit it in SL.
