Fantasy faire blogging time! The Fairelands Junction

I am home, I have slept, rather died when I got back from the dress rehearsal for the Other faire I do every, the Oklahoma Renaissance Festival in Muskogee, OK. So now it is Blogging time!

I'm going to go sim to sim clockwise around the map starting with the junction sim. There is going to be a few posts a day to make up for not Being able to blog the first few days PLUS I have a lot to blog! A post for each sim and several featured sellers post! my photos will be a mix of quality, pre faire opening photos will have shadows and be a lot nicer looking then the ones I take during the faire, as I will be turning shadows off to help reduce my personal lag. I need a new graphics card :P

Lets get cracking!

The Fairelands Junction sim serves as a nice starting point for the faire. This year it was designed by Saiyge Lotus of Balderdash, and is sponsored by Oceania Breedables. It is a dark magical forest full of lush trees, mysterious ruins and wandering streams.

The center piece and main landing area is a grove of giant redwoods that each hold a doorway to one of the other sims. The doorways showing a glimpse of the wonders to see on that sim.
Or you can follow paths and enter the circle of sims that way, Magnificat to the north, and Ravenshard to the east.

You can also find the silent auctions here, along a wall, just waiting for someone to come bid on it and help benefit Relay for Life!

Magnificat A fantasy faire sim

The first sim with stores on it I will be showing you is the Magnificat sim, It is both sponsored by Alia Baroque of Fallen Gods Inc.

You can grab SLURL and see which shops are on it via this link

You can see all the photos I took of the sim at this link here

Now I sent all the sim designers a note asking for background on their build, but, understandably, they have all been SUPER busy and I haven't heard back from most of them. And while I vaguely recall an interview on the fantasy faire blog, I can't FIND it. So all I can tell you about the build is its blurb describing it

The Relay Royales kindly invite you to their summer palace and gardens for a week of divertissment, plays, games and leisure to Celebrate Life and Magnify our Souls.

How ever, even not knowing anything about the background of the build, I can tell you it is STUNNING. Boasting grand buildings, which to me are reminiscent of roman architecture mixed with, something I can't put my finger on. Surrounding a river with boats sailing down it into a setting sun.

I could sit and watch the boats for hours, its quite a mesmerizing effect.

I plan to do a post featuring at least an outfit from each sim, if not other items. This post will be made shortly after the sim post so watch for it soon!

Evie's closet and Musa Poses

I managed to be in the right place at the right time to get gifted with all Evie's new items for the faire! I chose to wear them in shades of purple instead of the relay exclusive colors.

The first outfit is one she created originally for the Zodiac event and it is called Dyisi. She wanted an outfit hoofed and digi legged folk could wear easily and this was the result! If you;re not of the hoofed or digitraide legged type she also made matching boots. The Relay exclusive version is a brilliant and lovely scarlet.

It's mesh with flexy silks and quite fun to wear, so different then my usual.

The pose and glow silks I have are a new pose from a new pose maker called Musa. It is one of their Fantasy faire exclusive and is called "Dance with Sylph"

The next outfit is a mesh and flexi outfit called Kie, that is named for a friend of hers The Relay color is a light yellow, I;m wearing a lovely lilac. I dearly love the pattering work on the bodice and the way the flowers spill down from the waist.

Again the pose is by Musa and is from their fantasy pose set. They are a new pose maker to watch!

You can see how to get to the stores on Magnificat here and get a SLURL as well. The sim has a landing point, Evie's is close to it Musa's is a bit of a trot. But worth it!
